Your app project went off the rails: blown budget, unstable app, store rejections, an agency that no longer answers, or code generated by an AI tool that nobody understands anymore. Before putting more money into the project, get a rescue audit: we recover your access, read the code and tell you, with figures, whether to save the app, partly rebuild it or start over.
This recovery audit is for you if:
On delivery, you receive:
After a failed rebuild, the temptation is to throw everything away. It is not always the right call: a rebuild has to recover every business rule of the old app, which are often undocumented. The audit decides on facts.
The code is recovered, it builds, and the foundation is sound despite localized flaws. You get a prioritized list of fixes, without questioning everything.
One part holds up (server, data, business logic), another needs to be redone (mobile app, a fragile module). We tell you what to keep, what to redo and in which order.
Code nowhere to be found, abandoned technology or a foundation too fragile. We tell you plainly, with an inventory of what the current app does so nothing gets lost along the way.
The rescue audit is not tied to a single technology, but it stays within what we work with every day:
A fully native app (Swift, Kotlin) or a Flutter app is not our core expertise. If that is your case, we tell you on the qualification call, before you order anything, rather than sell you an audit others will do better. For a Bubble, Adalo or FlutterFlow app, see the Move off no-code offer instead.
When a project has gone off the rails, the reflex is to ask for takeover quotes. The problem: without reading the code or checking the access, nobody can seriously price what comes next. This audit separates facts from impressions and gives you a common basis to compare proposals, ours as well as other teams’.
If you then hire us for the recommended work (for example Google Play and App Store compliance, an Expo upgrade, a migration to Capacitor or a takeover quoted separately), the audit is deducted from the final price if you confirm within 30 days. Nothing obliges you to hire us for what follows: the report can be used by any team.
Your React Native app works and only needs a version upgrade? The React Native Migration Audit is a better fit. To understand the first steps after a failed project, read our guide Failed app rebuild: what to do now?
Step 1
You tell us what happened. We check that your technology is within our scope and that the code is accessible before you order anything.
Step 2
Together we go over what is in your name and what is missing. From day one you know what to ask for, and from whom.
Step 3
We rebuild the app from the repository, read the code, and check security, dependencies and compliance with Apple’s and Google’s rules.
Step 4
You receive the PDF report and we walk through it together for an hour: verdict, risks, costed and prioritized plan.
Free and with no commitment. We check together what can be recovered before starting the audit.
